Our 56th Wedding Anniversary is on Christmas Day! I guess I am feeling a little down because our two sons and three granddaughters live in different parts of the country and we have to spend this day without family.
I have heard when a son gets married his wife gets him but when a daughter gets married you get her and her family too. One son is divorced and has no children. The other son, married for the third time a gal with two girls of her own. Our three natural granddaughters are living in another state and their mother keeps them close to her and does not encourage the girls contacting us.
We must have done something wrong because we never hear from our "new" daughter-in-law. She wants to keep our son close to her and he hardly calls except to ask for money.
Better to stick with my slogan---today is the only day you have enjoy it! You folks on the blog are comforting in your comments. Thanks for replying.

It is a beautiful day here in FL. A little crisp because the temp was down in the high 40s. I guess you would call that a heat wave in the heart of the heartland.

I guess I am a little anxious. Was hoping someone would reply to me.

I am an 80 year old male with Ankylosing Spondylitis (if you have it you will know what it is)
My health is pretty good but I do not walk enough. I have my own treadmill and I should be using it every day. Maybe I will get motivated if I can talk with others about this.
Anyone out there with any comments?
